Next up on The Back To School wishlist is The Comfy Cardigan.
Some days, I feel drained and tired. When energy is low and you're feeling swamped and unmotivated to dress it up or you simply just don't have the time, this is the look. A key piece for the school year is a comfy cardigan, a piece that you can throw on when you are running on 2 hours of sleep and feel good in.
The world doesn't operate on your time, and you've still got to get going. This easy look will keep you comfortable and cozy, and help you avoid the dreaded "i'm so visibly tired, i couldn't get out of my pjs" look.
Keep it Easy, Breezy and Comfy, girl.
Outfit details after the jump!
Knitted Cardigan from Zara.

The crux of this outfit is the cardigan. That's the main focal point and accent. I love this Zara cardigan because it's super comfortable and can be easily thrown on top of any look. It's perfect for the days when you just want to grab and go, and you still want to look cute. Also, for $26, the price is right.
Skyla Strappy Crop Top from WearAll.

Premium High-waisted Popper Leggings by River Island
So, anyone that knows me knows that I'm against the "leggings as pants" party BUT in this case, I'm all for a premium(read: thick) legging that offers full coverage of all your private bits. Essentially, opt for a comfortable legging that won't show your panties if you enter a well-lit room. No one can deny how comforting a pair of leggings can be but we must also take public decency into consideration ;)
1490 Lace-up Boots by Dr. Martens
Do I even need to justify why this shoe is here? These are your everyday, through the rain, snow and sleet, "knock 'em dead" boots. Lace 'em up and stomp out your haters. Retailing at $130, it's one of the best deals you'll get on boots. FYI, be sure to check your local Burlington Coat Factory Stores for major discounts on Docs. You can get a pair for $60-70 (Tell 'em Rachel sent you).
Ilundi Signature Messenger Bag from Boticca
Sling it over your shoulder and you're good to go. I like messenger bags for my "dressed down" days because they're functional and not too stylish. They have just enough pop to be noticed but are demure enough to fit in with the relaxed tone of the look.
That rounds up this Back To School Staples post. With less than a month of summer vacation left, if you're anything like me, its about time to tune your sleep patterns in preparation for the upcoming semester. Check out SleepyTime and learn how to make the most out of every night's sleep.
Love and Light,
Rachel.
