This year, I want to simplify my beauty routine, get down to the basics while implementing natural and affordable products. In order to do so , I'm focusing on Do It Yourself beauty products because they're easy, affordable and fun to make.
This D.I.Y beauty product is a Coffee Scrub. Used coffee grounds and a cleanser/soap unite to make a beautiful, rich paste that exfoliates, tightens and brightens the skin.
I've been using this to not only exfoliate, but also to remove my makeup and my skin has been incredibly smooth and glowing. I hate most makeup removers because my skin is relatively sensitive and most irritate my skin and my eyes. Cetaphil is an extremely gently cleanser and the coffee grounds are tough enough to give a nice scrub but not tough enough to cause micro tears in the skin (like sugar, salt and apricot scrubs do..beware of those).
This scrub can also be used for the whole body and I'd highly recommend doing so every now and then. However, be prepared for a cleanup.. this scrub has the potential to be a tad messy.
I made a fun pictorial, showcasing how to make and use this scrub!
Enjoy!
