Your girl is back with another installment of the Back to School wishlist. The staple I'll be discussing is the "Army Jacket". I wear my army jacket when I want to feel fierce. I'm a strong believer in the notion that your outfit can change your mood. Dressing with confidence will make you look and feel better and therefore, when you want to feel fierce, it is only right that you dress the part.
This a look for when you're about to combat your hardest midterm/final, be in the same place as your ex or confront your arch-nemesis.
Outfit details after the jump...ready, set, fierce!
Military Look Longline Jacket With Camo by Choies
I have both styles of jacket because depending on the accessories, it's wise to go simpler or bolder. I go for the bolder when I'm wearing very simple jewelry and I go for the simpler when I want heavy jewelry. It's really up to the individual to determine which one better suits their personal taste for the occasion. Also, if you want to grab this staple for less, just hit up your local thrift stores. My favorite place for an army jacket in NYC is at Urban Jungle; they have racks on racks on racks full of these jackets.
Half Sleeve Ribbed Body-Con Dress by Topshop
The key to dressing an army jacket is simplicity. Since you're wearing such a fly jacket, you want your other pieces to simply compliment the jacket and your body. Ribbed bodycon dresses are perfecttttt because I, personally, find them to be better fitting than jersey fabric bodycon dresses. They cling in all the right places to bring out your shape but don't stick unto the skin like some other fabrics do.
Brown Belt Buckle PU Backpacks by SheInside
A pop of color adds some extra spunk to the look. With an army jacket, just avoid patterns and clashing colors. Also, this bag is $22 and made from Polyurethane, also known as synthetic or vegan leather, which is a lovely deal for all the vegan/anti-leather/anti-animal wear folks.
Black Bamboo Lug Sole Platform Combat Bootie by Bamboo
What better to crush your ex's soul with than these almost 6-inch combat boots? A heel always adds a level of confidence to my strut and in conjunction with a combat boot, it's a one way ticket to fierce-ville. Beware, these shoes are not for the faint of heart, opt for a lower heel or no heel at all if you're not used to wearing heels. Remember, comfort is key.
Vintage Tod's Aviators from TheRealReal

That rounds up this installment of the Back To School wishlist.
Stay fierce.
