One Outfit, Two Looks: From the Lecture Hall to Date Night.

We live in busy, busy times. As students, professionals, mentors etc., we are often swamped with obligations and schedules and unable to really take the time to properly dress for certain occasions.

It can be damn near impossible to find a perfect date night outfit when you just left lecture 10 minutes ago and your date is 15 minutes away.

Therefore, I put together these two looks to show an outfit can be easily transitioned from day to night with only a few accessory swaps.

When transitioning an outfit day to night, the key is to focus on the accessories. Accessories can easily take an outfit from casual to dressy.

A few tips:

1. Opt for a heeled shoe; they'll give you a slight boost and in my opinion, they make you walk with a bit sass and confidence. However, if you aren't comfortable in a heeled shoe, a dressy sandal will do.

2. Ditch the studs, and wear a bold earring. Hoops, statement earrings and dangling silver or gold pieces will accent your face and add a touch of personality and elegance to the look.

3. Instead of a purse, use a clutch or a small shoulder-bag that'll fit your essentials without weighing you down. Purse can be quite big and for that reason, I often find myself loading up on many, many things that I don't need. For a night out, you don't want to lug around a purse when you really should be enjoying yourself. Ditch the purse and go for something small and chic.
