Unique, a mega-thrift store in downtown Brooklyn. Unique is the Walmart of thrift stores. If Unique was a member of Destiny's Child, it would be Beyonce!

At Unique, whatever you want, they've probably got it.
Carrying everything from vintage video-games to clothing and even antique dolls, Unique has something unique for every person.
I will rating Unique based upon 5 categories with two stars for each; Staff/Atmosphere, Variety, Uniqueness, Prices and Quality.
Staff/Atmosphere:
Unique has some of the friendliest staff I have ever encountered at a thrift store; they're extremely helpful and enjoy a laugh or two with many customers. The atmosphere at Unique is also extremely accommodating; especially for a thrift store.
There are approximately 5 floors and there is even a multiple stall customer bathroom on the 3rd floors! Anyone that thrifts can attest to how rare that is. But it gets better y'all....the bathrooms are clean too!
Overall, lovely staff & wonderful atmosphere.
Variety:
Like, I said above, Unique is the Walmart of thrift stores in NYC. It is a one-stop for everyone and everything.
There are 5 floors of sheer awesomeness and honestly, at times, it can be a bit overwhelming because there are just so many different things and it's a bit intense sorting through every floor. It should be noted that the MZ floor caters to more high end pieces, such as Fendi, Prada, Coach etc. I scored a Coach bucket bag for $25 and brand new Fendi and Kenzo large fragrances for about $10 each a while back, so this floor is definitely, definitely my favorite.
Uniqueness:
This store stays true to it's name and brings forth a smorgasbord of one-of-a-kind pieces! There is something for everyone, even little kids can load up on toys and knick-knack and shop alongside the adults!

Quality:
Due to the high quantity of merchandise, upon my first visit to Unique, I expected some lack in quality but thankfully, I've experienced the complete opposite at this store. That staff that provides such amazing quality control for such a large store deserve serious kudos. I've never gotten anything from Unique that turned out to be defective and most items are in excellent or good used condition.
Prices:
This is where Unique really edges out on other thrift stores. The prices are absolutely amazing! The only expensive pieces are the high-end pieces found on the MZ floor. Most pieces found in this store are priced so well and it's a bit rare to find pieces over $10-20 (except on the MZ floor).
They also have tons of sales and discounts especially if you download their "MyUniqueApp" found on the App Store & Google Play.
Overall, Unique torches all competition with 10 stars! Excelling in everything from staff to prices, Unique is the place to go if you love to thrift.
I'd recommend Unique to just about anyone, but I believe the more experienced thrifters will get much more out of Unique than a thrifting novice. However, if you're new to thrifting, load up on some energy and take a trip to Unique and see how far you get. You've got nothing to lose and so, so much more to gain!
