Good Vibes (OOTD)

Rachel Ndubuisi Outfit of the Day
Last weekend, I had a true feeling of ease. After a long work week, I was able to let my hair down and just enjoy the summertime.
A big highlight for the weekend, was a reading by Sonia Manzano (aka Maria from Sesame Street) at the Bronx Museum of Arts, followed by a book signing and some nice downtime at the museum and in the neighborhood.
While I enjoy my weekends, I don't ever want to be that person that lives for the weekend. I want to feeling this liveliness on a daily basis and from all that I do.
I think that'll be more of a practice in mindfulness and happiness in general while keeping myself busy and connected to the world around me.
Forgive my rambling..lets move on to the outfit of the day.
Rachel Ndubuisi Outfit of the Day
Romper | Maurices
Tank | Old Navy
Shoes | Not quite sure...I've had them so long the brand wore off haha

I don't wear rompers often because I'm a bit bottom heavy and they're often not the most appropriate things for me to wear. However, I took a chance on these and I may add more rompers to my closet as long as they fit me in a similar fashion. The only downside to wearing these is that you have to damn near strip to use the bathroom, and that's quite odd in public (that's mostly why I added the tank top underneath it).
The summer is such a great time for prints so I'm trying to incorporate print, color and simplicity into my looks because it's what I've gravitated toward lately. A lot of it has to do with my job and my need to really mesh my personal style with a more professional style.
I'm slowly feel more comfortable and dressing like myself, but "adult" me.
If you can't tell me, I've been pretty happy.
Despite the constant and sometimes escalating turbulence of my life, I've been pretty happy.
I hope you are too.
p.s, I'm getting more adjusted to my life & work schedule so expect more posts on culture and a few joint posts with me and a special guest discussing the holistic nature of food & dairy-free living and a a book review of Beloved by Toni Morrison.

Love & Light, Rachel
